王宏志，香港大学文学士(荣誉)、哲学硕士、英国伦敦大学亚非学院哲学博士。新加坡南洋理工大学人文与社会科学院院长、中文及翻译研究教授、人文与社会科学学院研究中心主任；香港中文大学翻译系教授、翻译研究中心主任、香港文化研究中心主任；上海复旦大学中文系兼任教授及博导。主要研究范围：20世纪中国文学与政治、中国翻译史和香港文化研究。主要著作包括：《历史的沉重：从香港看中国大陆香港史论述》、《鲁迅与“左联”》、《历史的偶然：从香港看中国现代文学史》、《文学与政治之间：鲁迅·新月·文学史》，Pofitics and Literaturein Shanghai:The Chinese League of Left-wing Writers，1930-1936等。
