作者简介

《旅游业概论》的作者是克里斯托弗.霍洛韦，前西英格兰大学布瑞斯托商学院教授，教授旅游管理课程。霍洛韦教授多年来一直致力于游客航运、旅游操作、散客旅游等旅游管理实务性工作，本书乃是积其本人多年来旅游实务管理经验及其个人潜心研究而成，是一本颇具特色的集旅游管理理论与实务性操作于一体的旅游专著。

   《旅游业概论》一书在编写形式上颇有特色：穿插于各章之中有作者本人拍摄/引用的近130幅世界各地的风情风光、名胜建筑、交通工具等图片，以及70余幅旅行路线、区域性主题公园网点、有关统计数字的图标等，真可谓是图文并茂。此外，作者在每章开篇前给出的本章学习的目标使读者在阅读每一章时都能有一种较强的目的性。

本书共有17章，每章各有其主题，然而彼此之间又紧密相联，有些内容在前面提到后，作者在以后的章节中又作了进一步的阐述。
