插图：兵书宝剑峡在长江北岸，有一叠层次分明的岩石，看似一堆厚书，还有二上粗下尖的石柱，竖直指向江中，酷似一把宝剑，故得名。该峡传说是诸葛亮存放兵书和宝剑的地方。崆岭峡内有崆岭滩，是长江三峡中险滩之冠。滩中礁石密布，水枯时露出江面如石林，水涨时则隐没水中成暗礁，加上航道弯曲狭窄，船只稍一不慎即会触礁沉没，民谣说，“青滩泄滩不算滩，崆岭才是鬼门关”。灯影峡又名明月峡，河谷狭窄，岩壁陡峭，峰顶奇石腾空，岩间瀑布飞泉。南岸马牙山上，有四块岩石屹立，形似《西游记》中的唐僧、孙悟空、猪八戒和沙和尚。巫峡巫峡在四川巫山和湖北巴东两县境内，西起巫山县城东面的大宁河口，东迄巴东县官渡口，绵延40余公里，包括金蓝银甲峡和铁棺峡，峡谷特别幽深曲折，是长江横切巫山主脉背斜而形成的。巫峡又名大峡，以幽深秀丽著称。整个峡区奇峰突兀，怪石嶙峋，峭壁屏列。绵延不断，是三峡中最值得观赏的一段，宛如一条迂回曲折的画廊，充满诗情画意，可以说处处有景，景景相连。清人许汝龙“巫峡”诗中说：“放舟下巫峡，心在十二峰。”这里群峰竞秀，气势峥嵘，云雾缭绕，姿态万千，令人神驰。北岸六峰依次为登龙、圣泉、朝云、望霞、松峦、集仙；南岸也有六峰，但在江中能见到的，依次为飞风、翠屏、聚鹤三峰，其余净坛、起云、上升三峰并不临江。如欲游览，须从飞凤峰附近的青石溪溯流而上，到兰厂登岸，才可领略三案的雄姿。因此陆游在《三峡歌》说：“十二巫山见九峰，船头彩翠满秋空。”唐代诗人赞美巫山十二峰的诗句，有“巫山十二峰，皆在碧虚中”；“巫山峨峨高插天，危峰十二凌紫烟”；“巫山案十二，合沓隐昭同”。

中国正迈向世界第一旅游大国，据现任世界旅游组织秘书长弗朗吉亚利预测：“到2020年，中国将成为世界第一大旅游国，届时将有1.37亿人次去那里参观、访问和游览。”我国入境旅游的迅猛发展对旅游从业人员，尤其是导游，在外语交际水平方面提出了更高的要求。《导游英语听与说》是在此背景下，为了提高涉外导游的英语听说水平而编写的培训用书。本书适用于旅游管理专业本科“专业英语”课程、高等职业技术教育导游专业“导游英语”，以及在职导游和有志从事导游的人士。本教材共有15课。每课由三大主题部分构成：导游英语听力、导游英语会话、专题导游解说。
