作者簡介

施國英，女，1965年生于上海，1987年畢業于上海師范大學中文系，獲文學士學位。曾任某劇團挂名編劇3個月，后任《文匯報》副刊編輯直至赴澳。

1989年底抵達澳洲，曾任《自立快報》副刊主編，《華聯》雜志特邀總編，新南威爾斯州華文作家協會會長等職。現為自由撰稿人，挂名大洋洲文聯理事長。

從中學時代即開始文學創作，20世紀80年代中參加大陸先鋒派詩歌運動，用筆名方也向地下詩刊投稿。迄今已發表中短篇小說，詩歌，散文，文學評論等約70万字。赴澳前作品散見于《萌芽》《上海文學》《上海文論》《文學角》《人間》《百家》《詩刊》《青年作家》《書林》《文匯報》《文藝報》《文學報》《詩歌報》《上海青年報》《聯合時報》，香港《明報》等，并參与編撰《中國現代散文欣賞詞典》（漢語大詞典出版社）抵澳初期主要在中港台發表，作品散見于大陸《小說界.》,《作家》，台灣《中央日報》《聯合報》《中華日報》《新生報》，香港《九十年代》《開放》《百姓》《香港文學》等處，1993年起為澳洲多家華文報刊寫稿，1994年以一篇比較中西性文化隨筆引起大爭論。有少量作品被譯成英文，有多篇作品被收入各种選集，個人專集有《午后陽光》（香港大世界出版社）

1997年8月，悉尼大學原亞洲學院院長Mabel Lee教授向在荷蘭萊頓大學召開的15屆世界比較文學年會提交了題為《華人作家：崛起于澳大利亞文學的新聲》（Chinese Writers: Emergence of New Voices in Australian Literature）的論文，其中有專節評介施國英的文學創作。中國汕頭大學撰寫的《海外華文文學史》第3卷也有對其系統性的學術評論。
