Recently I found many students got MS degrees in CS or EE and still could not do programming in the right way. For example, a student graduated and was interviewed by a German company. The company really wished to hire the student. He passed the first 2 rounds of interviews, where they asked basic programming questions. In the final round of interview, he was asked to write a program, where coupling was involved. He failed, and did not get the job.This reminds me about the book written by Professor WANG Xuan. I took the class with Professor Wang Xuan in Fall 1990, and have followed his teaching in giant projects. For example, the $2 billion USD ICO project, and the $4 billion USD Spaceway project. What Professor Wang taught us has worked great, and is the best method in designing large software I have ever found. I believe the Founder Group followed the teaching in software development, especially in early days. Therefore, I recommend every student in CS or EE to read this book. If you want to become a good programmer, read it.

This was my text book in graduate school. I have applied the knowledge taught by Professor Wang Xuan for 20 years. Very helpful. Every programmer shall read this book.
