《新视角高职高专英语综合教程(2)》特点：一、基于《新视角高职高专英语课程教学基本要求》提出的要“以培养学生实际运用语言的能力为目标，突出教学内容的实用性和针对性。”二、基于2006-2007年度河北省省级科研项目《以市场人才需求为导向的高职高专英语教学改革与研究》成果。该项目研究结果表明社会急需“具有一定英语应用能力的高技能型人才”。

三、基于邢台职业技术学院高职高专英语教材编写组15年来的教学改革与研究。在这个过程中，从沿用本科教材到启用专门的高职高专英语教材，从侧重知识的传授过渡到培养学生的英语应用能力为主，从简单的英语词汇语法阅读考试到能力本位的过程化考核，这些改革研究结果都充分体现在本套教材之中。
