　　作为《大学英汉翻译教程》(山东大学出版社，初版1995年，修订版1999年)的姊妹篇，《大学汉英翻译教程》(山东大学出版社，初版1997年)同样得到了方家和广大读者的的广泛认可，并为不少院校所采用，对此我们表示衷心感谢。　　翻译教科书应以培养翻译基本功为重点，强调双语修养和双文化修养，介绍翻译的基本理论、知识和技巧，鼓励学生动脑和动手，帮助他们提高笔译和口译的实践能力，增强综合素质，以适应新世纪的要求。此次修订再版本《教程》正是出于这些考虑。　　关于本《教程》的使用方法，我们建议如下：课堂教学以上、中篇为主，以下篇为辅；讲授与讨论结合；练习与讲评结合；课内与课外结合。　　根据教学实践的检验结果，本教程编著者借第四版印刷之际对某些内容作了更新，对某些文字表述作了修改，同时进行了勘误，以便跟上时代步伐，满足广大读者的要求。
