插图：Located on a low latitude, neighboring the tropical ocean in thesouth, adjacent to Yunnan-Guizhou Highland and Lingnan Mountainsin the north, the center of Guangxi is bisected by the Tropic of Cancer.It has a subtropical monsoon climate with warm winters, hot summersand abundant precipitation under the alternating influence of warm, hu-mid air from the ocean and cold, dry air from the north. The last decaderecorded an average annual temperature of 17-23℃, with a low point in January of 6-16℃, and the high of 24-29 in July. Guangxi's annualprecipitation of 1,063-2,638 mm, sunshine hours of 1,167-2,274, 289-365 frost-free days, and rare cold winters in most parts make it possible togrow a variety of crops throughout the year.
