《企业会计制度》是目前中国适用面最广的基本会计规范之一，自2002年1月1日起，所有上市公司、外商投资企业都要执行该会计制度。财政部进一步要求2003年1月1日以后成立的所有企业（小型企业和金融企业除外）都应全面执行该会计制度，以统一和规范企业的会计业务和对外编报行为，增加不同企业财务报表之可比性。
