版权页：   警察细小偷 有一次，一个菜鸟警察从小镇上抓了个小偷，要把他带回市里的警局。路上，他们经过一家面包店。“我们没有吃的，过会儿肯定会饿。我去店里买点儿面包咱俩吃。在这等我。”小偷说。 警察同意了，在街上等了好久，但是小偷还没有从店里出来。警察开始担心，就进了面包店。结果没看到小偷，却看到店里有个后门。 警察只好独自回警局，心里闷闷不乐。 走运的是，第二天，警察又在同一地点抓住了小偷。他们再次经过那条街，经过头一天的面包店。“在这儿等着。”警察说，“上次你从店里跑了。这次我去店里买面包，你必须在这等我回来。” Giving Sad News to a Troop The Captain called the Sergeant in."Sarge, I just got a telegram that Private Jones' mother died yesterday. Better go tell him and send him in to see me." So the Sergeant calls for his morning formation and lines up all the troops. "Listen  up, men." says the Sergeant. "Johnson, report to the mess hall for Smith, report to Personnel to sign some papers. The rest of you men report to the Motor Pool for maintenance.Oh, by the way, Jones, your mother died,report to the commander." Later that day the Captain called the Sergeant into his office. "Hey, Sarge, that was a pretty cold way to inform Jones his mother died. Couldn't you be a bit more tactful, next time?" "Yes, sir," answered the Sarge. A few months later, the Captain called the Sergeant in again with, "Sarge, I just got a telegram that Private McGrath's mother died. You'd better go to tell him and send him in to see me. This time be more tactful." So the Sergeant calls for his morning formation. "Ok, men, fall in and listen up.Everybody with a mother, take two steps forward. Not so fast, McGrath !"
