刘爱英，女，教授，上海外国语大学英语语言文学专业博士，四川外国语大学英语文学专业方向导师，英国剑桥大学访问学者。2012年完成教育部人文社会科学课题一项。著有《塞缪尔·贝克特戏剧作品研究》（重庆出版社，2012）、Samuel Beckett: The Body Matters（上海外语教育出版社，2013）。编写过《英语基础写作教程》（上海外语教育出版社，2011）等教材。在《外国文学评论》、《四川外语学院学报》、《英美文学研究论丛》、《高等学校文科学术文摘》、《外国文学研究》等刊物发表、转载论文20余篇。

论文从身体理论的视角，对贝克特戏剧作品中的身体进行了多维度、跨学科的考察，试图揭示剧作中肉体之在的哲学意义、身体的现象学意义、身体作为社会建构的产物所承载的社会和文化讯息、身体的政治化问题以及身体负载的政治和权力信息。
