张德和，1959年6月生于山东乐陵，先后毕业于空军后勤学院、海军航空兵工程学院和石家庄陆军指挥学院，现任总参陆航研究所研究员，大校军衔，中国科普作家协会会员、科普作家、军事国防协会会员、中国国际广播电台特约评论员。长期从事陆军航空兵野战装备保障和战术技术研究，完成全军重大课题十余项，有多项成果获奖，其中获军队科学技术进步三等奖2项，军事科学优秀成果二等奖1项，2次荣立个人三等功。多次参加《中国军事百科全书》撰写，著有《陆军航空兵作战运用研究》、《现代战争中的直升机》和《垂直极限——纵谈当代军用直升机》等。撰写有大量军事学术论文，被多家报刊聘为特约撰稿人，共计发表军事学术论文480多篇，200余万字，有多篇获奖或被有关报刊转载，其中获全国一等奖1篇，全军优秀论文二等奖1篇，部级科研成果论文三等奖和军事理论研究成果三等奖8篇。
