《从统计看民航》是一部以年刊形式全面介绍我国民用航空事业发展概况的资料性工具书，每年出版一册。

本书（1996）所刊内容，主要收录1995年民航发展的统计数据，内容全面，资料翔实。本书适合于从事民航管理、教学和科研工作者使用，读者可从此书了解民航发展概貌。

本书分为“航空运输”、“通用航空”、“飞机”、“机场和航路”、“财务和运价”、“固定资产投资”、“组织机构”、“世界航空”和“附录”9个部分。其中“航空运输”收录全行业及航空公司运输指标、航线网络和城市对运量；“通用航空”收录全行业通用航空指标和分项目作业量；“飞机”收录全行业及航空公司各型飞机拥有量、飞机利用率以及飞机性能资料；“机场和航路”收录全国民用和军民合用机场、对外开放机场数量，机场起降架次和客货吞吐量以及对外开放机场的设施等；“财务和运价”收录民航总局所属企业财务收入和国内航线现行运价；“固定资产投资”收录民航基本建设和技术改造投资完成情况；“组织机构”收录民航总局机关机构设置、所属企事业单位和我国航空运输、通用航空企业等； “世界航空”摘录了1995年国际民航组织统计年报中有关世界各国航空运输周转量等内容；“附录”部分主要收录了与民航发展相关的国民经济统计指标等。
