《孔夫子》（1940）的發現與修復，填補了中國電影史上的一個空白，《費穆電影 孔夫子》一書，除了費明儀和金聖華追憶父輩的光影故夢外，還有多位學者和文化工作者從歷史、美學、音樂、文化等多角度去探討這部作品，而費穆和秦鵬章當年寫下的文章，更提供了珍貴的一手資料。
